California...Really?

Once again the omniscient California Supreme Court has decided it is smarter and more holy than the people of California.  The people of California voted to define marriage as one man and one woman.  It's the will of the people.  Yet, today, the Court decided they couldn't do that.

This is not the first time it has happened, either.  In 1986, the people voted that local governments could not raise taxes without the will of the people.  A court overturned that.  Several years ago, as well, the people of California voted that they didn't want to fund health care and education for illegals.  The court said they couldn't do it.

We are seeing this happen more and more, not only in California, where the courts decide that the people do not have the right to set their own rules and laws.  In this case, the people of California have clearly stated that they don't want the deviance of homosexuality honored and preferred to heterosexuality.  They decided that all are treated equal, every man can marry the woman of his choice without restriction and every woman can marry the man of her choice without restriction.  They decided they did not want to sanction the perversion and lust of a few.  They understood, if this perversion is allowed, what is next?  What of polygamy?  What of marriage to a child?  Can anything be limited?

I have to say that I'm not at all really surprised by this ruling.  Anyone who didn't see this coming really should get their head out of the sand.  Sure, there will be those who will say that there were 6 Republicans on the court.  Remember, though, this is a state where Arnold Schwartzenegger is considered a Republican.  California has been lost for years.  I think now, this is just one more straw on the camels back, it's time to consider pulling out of California.  If Democrats in Washington are calling for us to pull out of Iraq, because we've lost, surely they'll see the same situation in California.  We've lost!

Maybe we can give it back to Mexico, move the rest of the illegals there and get back to rationality and sanity.
